Kick off to “Kickstand”—Charlottesville’s Newest Bike Zine!
Friday, March 20
th—the Spring Equinox/Virginia Festival of The Book
6-8 p.m. at the Bridge Progressive Arts Initiative

(209 Monticello Road—just across the Belmont Bridge)

Followed by SCAVENGER HUNT by bicycle!  (don’t forget your blinky light)

 Readings, Music by Accordian Death Squad (traditional Ratslyvanian biker band), make your own bike inner tube wallets, raffle, snacks AND…

 **Special guests:  Books On Wheels over from Richmond

And local artist and bicyclist, Purl with a fabulous puppet show!

 Community Bikes, ACCT and friends have created a little, spunky publication packed full of stories, poems, and pics that highlight the fun and amazing possibilities when we travel by bike—all in perfect time to welcome spring and encourage potential bikers everywhere to haul out that two wheeled beauty……

Drop off books, bikes, and bike parts to donate to the Books on Wheels program. Books on Wheels is a charitable organization based in the Richmond Metro Area which gives away free books, bikes and bike tune-ups. Visit their Mo’Book Mo’Bike Mobile and check out our own Henrico County Public Library Bookmobile too! For more information please call 364-1400 ext. 5.
