Call to artists! Worn Again 2010: Recycled Fashion Benefit for Books on Wheels
WORN AGAIN 2010:
A Cast-Off Couture Showcase: CALL TO ARTISTS!
Friday, July 2nd at Art6 (6 East Broad Street)
Doors open at 8, $5 minimum suggested donation at the door.
Worn Again 2010 is our 7th Recycled fashion extravaganza and the latest
opportunity for Richmond designers to take the Worn Again challenge.
Designers and artists will have from May 23rd - June 27th to take cast-off clothing
and materials and turn them into a recycled runway masterpiece!
All are welcome to register but not everyone will make it past our W.A. jury (on June
27th) and walk in our Cast-off Couture Showcase, Friday July 2nd at Art6.
Only designers/artists that bring innovation, craft and overall WOW will be chosen to
represent our mission.
Whether it’s high fashion or wearable art, your imagination is your only limitation. After 5 years and six shows we have seen our fair share of talent and we are ready to introduce Richmond to the next level, so shred, dye, deconstruct and re-construct. Tap into your couture and help us prove how innovative and beautiful recycled fashion can be.
Since it’s 2005 debut in Richmond, Team Worn Again’s goal has been to promote a
recycled lifestyle that is innovative, creative, accessible and always fashionable!
Part of this mission includes raising money for other local grass roots non-profits and
strengthening positive efforts in our community. That’s why TWA is proud to donate
all proceeds from Worn Again 2010 to Books on Wheels.
Register today!
$15 non-refundable registration fee per designer
